I Come to the Garden Alone If you have Windows Media Player
Listen to this song!
Other versions at bottom of page.
I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses;
And the voice I hear,
Falling on my ear;
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me,
and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody
That He gave to me,
Within my heart is ringing.
And He walks with me,
and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
I'd stay in the garden with Him
Tho' the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go;
Thru the voice of woe,
His voice to me is calling.
And He walks with me,
and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

Time for one more?
If you have time to email and tell me which you like best, I'd appreciate it!
NOTE: I've been surprised at the number of people that have found this
song here and been touched by the words, and have also had clear opinions as to which
version of the music they like best. I'm ever so grateful!
It is a dear old favourite of mine from back in my early teens. I loved to think
that the Lord and I would walk and talk together when I prayed. Not many people
have that kind of relationship with Jesus, I could see, so I've written a novel
to show what it's like. Just to give others a chance to taste this fantastic
relationship vicariously!
It's been a lo-ong process, but my book is published now and available as
a softcover or paperback, and
as a downloadable e-book in
two different formats, .PDF, or .exe (which comes with its own browser, and
you can read it on pretty floral backgrounds). In fact, if you've just come to
this site because of this song, I want to offer you a very special deal!
If you'll write me and tell me what this song means to you, I'll send you a
link whereby you may download this novel,
"Ruthe's Secret Roses,"
for free!
I hope also to get a happy review on it from you after you've finished that!

"In the Garden" Feedback
Some people have been asking which music groups or singers currently have this song on their CDs,
tapes, or DVDs. So I've done some checking and come up with a few links to help speed up your
search.
Lists of soundtracks that carry this song
This young woman, Christina Marshall, makes harps, teaches music, and sells her own CDs from her site. It lists In the Garden, as one of her songs. (Very interesting family she has!)
