My Christmas Letter 2011

I have been busy, but enjoyed preparing my Christmas mail. In fact, I had so many ideas I could not produce them all. But in the process I ended up with more mail for you than you might want to see or read. So I'm going to do you a favour and let you pick and choose which items you would like to open to read. (Let's see... what order will I present them now?)

Here's my Christmas card - a little booklet with eight graphic pages. I'm presenting it to you as a PDF file which you can see in your Acrobat Reader, or any other PDF reader, Christmas CARD-2011 (all the pages are on one sheet of legal paper for you to read).

But I've set this up as powerpoint too. Knowing that not everyone has the same computer system, I've saved it in three different formats;

I wrote my Christmas Prayer letter for those friends who are close enough to want to pray for the moves and stages and details of my life. Then when I had printed a batch of those, I realized that I had not talked about Christmas much, so I wrote another two page letter that shared some of my Thoughts about Christmas this year. I printed it on pink paper and exported it as a PDF file. (Now I find it tricky to add my signature to it. Normally I use that space to cram in a personal P.S. in the hand-written edition).

I'm serving these up as two separate (PDF) letters in case you prefer to ignore one or the other;

For a couple of decades already, I think, I've been writing a small booklet with a short Christmas story or article. I've done the same again, springing thoughts from a scene in the Biblical Christmas story. This file is laid out for printing as a 4 panel brochure on a sheet of legal paper. If you wish to print it out, just send a sheet of legal length (14") paper through your printer, once for one side, and again for the other side. Trim/cut off the bottom long margin. Then fold it up so it looks like a narrow brochure. However, to read it on the screen, just remember that the first panel is the last one on the second page. Read that first, then go back to the top left of the first page, and read through one panel after another until you come to the end. :) See, easy as that!
