You don't really have time to read on the couch, but if you're like me, you do read snatches on the run, and somehow make time to read a GOOD book completely.

So how can you be sure this Ruthe in the book is not some kook? Read the eight sample chapters.





You've heard of power naps at work, right? You rise refreshed, bright and alert. Take a break to refresh your spirit with a good inspirational story.

Some of my siblings decided to try to meet centrally in Saskatoon to celebrate Dad's birthday on April 30, 2006, when they could all get the same weekend off. In the end, three out of five of us siblings got together, including the children of our two brothers.

My niece, Jalise, (not able to come after all), had suggested that what would impress her Grandpa the most was to have all show up at church to sit with him. My brother Ernie and his wife, Penny, and their two married children; Beth and Corey, with son Micah, and Trevor and Joanne, and also my sister Erma who came from Ontario, - did this.

I was careful not to tell Dad, so he was truly surprised when he came down the hall from his Men's Bible Class during Sunday School and saw a small crowd of familiar but not usually present faces.

After the worship service, at noon, we all went to the city to a restaurant meal at Tony Roma's. There we met my nieces, Darlene and Sharon. Dad and I are not used to dining out, but we got through it without complaining. (In Dad's case, he was trying to chew meat with brand new dentures that he was not used to yet).


From there we went to their hotel and had Penny take this shot while we waited for Micah to finish his nap so we could take various photos of the group. Here is my sister Erma, myself, my brother Ernie, and Dad. (Dad and I had not seen Erma in seven years!)


Dad is Grospa - Ernie is Opa - Beth is Mommy - and Micah is the center of this universe! = 4 Generations. (Note that we did this a year ago too!.


Here's Ernie, Dad's oldest son, with his complete clan. Seated are Ernie, Dad, Beth with Micah, and Trevor. Standing behind them are the ones adopted by marriage, Penny is Ernie's wife, Rev. Corey Anderson is Beth's husband, and Joanne is Trevor's wife.

Unfortunately, the best shot taken on my camera, of the most of us, (only Penny missing here as she was the photographer), is one where the flash didn't go off. It has a golden haze over it.
